If you need to do laundry and want to eat a delicious meal at the same time or just eat a good soup and sandwich – go to Persimmon. Sharing its space with a laundromat, Persimmon café is one of the best sandwich and soup spots in town. It’s fast, easy, casual, and the staff will brighten your day. It’s a small space but there are stools with countertop seating at the window looking out at Calhoun Street. The vanilla lemonade and basil limeade are refreshing drinks that pair well with any sandwich. The Roasted Chicken and butternut squash sandwich are top hits along with the zucchini Panini but yoou can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. End your meal with the Nutella and toasted marshmallow custard – it’ll be the best decision.
