The Library at Candlefish: A Shopping Experience

A few steps off of King Street lies one of Charleston’s next big things: The Library at Candlefish. Unlike the many stores that come and go however, Candlefish is here to stay.

Stepping inside the dreamy, ethereal library almost feels like walking into Wonderland. That is, if Wonderland featured a wall of hand-poured candles in 100 different scents. In true library fashion, the wall of candles is manned by a “librarian,” who is equipped with a rolling ladder, index, and library cards waiting to be filled out to help each customer find their perfect scent. “We think of ourselves as a candle experience,” explains Anita Holly, Special Affairs Manager at Candlefish.

Poured into large (11oz) or small (3 ½ oz) sizes and emblazoned with the Candlefish logo and “Made in Charleston, SC” these candles make the perfect souvenir or gift for those at home.
